Dave the Rainbow

Solo exhibit

This exhibit opportunity is a winner's prize of "People's Artist of the Year" contest

awarded to Dave in 2017 in Long Beach.

"We live in incredible times where modern society is interconnected through

the invisible fabric of technology, telecommunication, and social media.

In 2019, we live two distinct lives: the presentation of our digital life online

and the reality of our physical world we encounter. As we become more

digitalized in social media platforms, we crave more authenticity.

As much as technology has helped our lives, we are increasingly dependent

on it and have lost our sense of reality. Using technology (iphone) as a tool of art,

I have intentionally glitched my photos of technicolor painted bodies, attempting

to bridge the gap between the physical and the digital worlds.

I hope to inspire people to create art and strive towards more authenticity in their lives".
